Hello, friends of the Weiku community! Today we\u2019re excited to talk about a very special event that takes place in Pomerode \u2014 the city where our headquarters is located and one that our company proudly supports. <\/em><\/p>\n\n

\"Weiku<\/figure>\n\n

In 2025, Weiku <\/a>do Brasil is proud to join the 17th edition of Osterfest, the largest Easter celebration in Brazil, held in Pomerode. The event honors Easter traditions preserved for over 160 years by descendants of German immigrants who arrived in Pomerode in the 19th century. <\/p>\n\n

This year, the festival pays tribute to the traditional technique of dyeing eggshells with natural pigments, known as Eierkraut, which uses the \u201cErva do Ovo\u201d (Egg Herb) to give the eggs a vibrant purple color. Both the world\u2019s largest decorated egg and the world\u2019s largest Easter tree \u2014 recognized by the Guinness World Records \u2014 will be featured highlights of the celebration. <\/p>\n\n

Running from February 27 to April 20, from Thursday to Sunday, Osterfest <\/a>is known for its diverse programming that blends the best of German traditions with the warm and festive atmosphere of one of Brazil\u2019s most charming towns.<\/p>\n\n

Weiku do Brasil, with its strong commitment to culture and community, could not miss the opportunity to support an event that so beautifully represents the spirit of Pomerode.<\/p>\n\n

If you haven\u2019t experienced Osterfest yet, 2025 is the perfect time to do so. The program features over 30 attractions, including egg painting workshops, performances by folk groups, traditional competitions, an amusement park, mascots Fritz and Frida Hase, pony rides, and cookie and craft workshops. On Saturdays at 6 p.m., the theatrical play \u201cVida\u201d will be performed at the Pomerode Municipal Theater. <\/p>\n\n
